Originally built as an 85-bed facility in 1949,
Medical Center Hospital has been expanded and updated over the years to a modern 363-bed hospital with extensive laboratory facilites. Just across the street is one of only three branches of the Texas Tech School of Medicine. The building is pictured below.
In addition to these facilities Odessa Regional Hospital is located a few blocks away, and a brand new Alliance Hospital opened in 2003.
