A Windmill on the island of Santorini

The actual name of Santorini Island is Thira, one of the most southerly islands in the Cyclades. The permanent population is about 11,900. Capital is a village named Fira, not to be confused with Thira, the name of the island. The semicircular shape of the island today is the result of a huge volcanic eruption around 1500 BC.
